First Lieutenant Frederick F. Hoss evacuated two wounded men and one sick Lieutenant from Warsaw Bay, Biak Island at 1400. The men were transferred from a landing craft in the open sea to his ship in a 25 to 30 knot wind. The landing and take-off in the rough seas was a tribute to the skill of Lieutenant Hoss.
